Conformation
For us, Conformation is more than presentation—it is the evaluation of correct structure, movement, and balance as defined by the breed standard. Our Weimaraners are assessed in the show ring under multiple judges through American Kennel Club conformation events, ensuring each dog exemplifies proper type, soundness, and temperament.
We place strong emphasis on functional structure, clean movement, and breed-specific characteristics that support a dog’s longevity and purpose. Conformation allows us to honestly evaluate our breeding decisions and continuously refine our program, preserving the integrity of the Weimaraner for future generations.
Our commitment to the conformation ring reflects our dedication to thoughtful breeding, accountability, and excellence—where form, function, and temperament come together as the standard intended.
Hunting
While our primary focus is conformation and companion, the Weimaraner is, at its core, a versatile hunting breed. At Tabono, we value the instinct, drive, and natural ability that define the Weimaraner’s purpose in the field. Strong prey drive, athleticism, and biddability are considered alongside structure and temperament, ensuring our dogs retain the instincts that make the bree exceptional hunting companions.
Our breeding philosophy respects the Weimaraner’s heritage as a capable bird dog- one that moves efficiently, works willingly, and maintains focus in the field. Preserving these traits supports not only performance, but also the balance, confidence, and soundness we expect in every Tabono Weimaraner.
